    Default Removing the Bugs Module

    Hi,
This seems to have been posted many times. I'm trying to keep SugarCRM as simple as possible to test before deployment. I have read about removing subpanels and additional ways of removing the module, but its not really clear what the best practice for accomplishing this kind of customization.

What is the best way to disable or remove the Bugs module?

I am running SugarCRM Version 6.0.2 (Build 4217) on CentOS 5.5.

I have searched the forums and read many blog posts, about this issue but I would like further clarification on how to do this so that its repeatable for the next sysadmin or moving into production.

    Thanks,
    James

Simplest: Admin > Configure Tabs. Move the corresponding tab to the disabled section and click Save.

thanks, but I really meant subpanels, I did find it in the documentation:

    Configure Subpanels
You can hide module sub-panels if you do not want to display them in the Detail View of a related module. When you hide a sub-panel, users cannot view related records from the Detail View of a related module.
    To configure a sub-panel
    1.
In Developer Tools, select Configure Subpanels.
The Configure Subpanels page displays the list of displayed sub-panels in the Displayed Subpanels list.
    2.
To hide a sub-panel, select it in the Display Subpanels column, and drag and drop it into the Hide Subpanels column.
    3.
Click Save to save the configuration; click Cancel to exit the page without saving your changes.
The hidden sub-panels no longer display in the Detail View of related modules.
