Removing Mandatory Fields in Contact import

Hi there

I am trying to import of client db, though I keep getting problems on importing as not all records have the required fields.

Is there anyway of make fields so they are no longer mandatory??

Any help appreciated as I am tearing my hair out (whats left of it!)

I have looked at editview.html and vardefs.php and can't see anything that needs commenting out

I think you was on the right track. In the vardefs.php file, you can change the mandatory field from requied Yes to No

KATAPULT - I was having a similar problem and was looking to remove the AutoAccount required field. The other fields seem to be required depending on the module field_arrays.php definitions.
Anyone know why the AutoAccount field is defined ?
