Question Removing pieces of a partially installed module

    Sugar 5.2.01
    IIS
    MSSQL

I tried to install Open Quotes and Contracts. But the installation only got 85% through because it tried to creat a table that had a column with a float value of 255, and apparently according to the error the maximum is 53.

So i went abut manually removing it by deleting all the created folders and tables. Which worked for other modules that i couldn't remove through module loader ( which is really really really slow at the moment for some reason ) But the problem is that every time i repair and rebuild, it remakes the folders and the tables.

What i was thinking was that if could possibly change the value of 255 to 53 before the install, perhaps i could get it installed properly and them remove it the easy way through module loader.

Or if someone could tell me how to get rid of it manually, that would be great as well.

    Thanks
    Nasser

If your tables are recreated upon repair, you haven't removed all files from ./custom.

    Businesses go there (Dutch)

    Modules:

    Thank you,

I did it again and it seems to have worked. I searched for all references to OQC in the db as well and deleted the rows. So now the repair part of the repair and rebuild works, But when to select rebuild, the option just below repair and rebuild its doesnt finish the process.

what i end up with is

    Repair Database

    Processing database and vardef comparison...
There was usually another line under that saying that the vardefs are in sync if i remember correctly

Seems like i spoke to soon.

My contacts page is now blank and all the sub panels have disappeared from projects and project tasks.

And i also get the following in the sugar logs.

    08/21/09 11:36:13 [2816][1][FATAL] Error fetching relationship from cache meetings_contacts
    08/21/09 11:36:13 [2816][1][FATAL] Error fetching relationship from cache calls_contacts
    08/21/09 11:36:13 [2816][1][FATAL] Error fetching relationship from cache meetings_contacts
    08/21/09 11:36:13 [2816][1][FATAL] Error fetching relationship from cache calls_contacts
    08/21/09 11:36:13 [2816][1][FATAL] Error fetching relationship from cache emails_projects_rel

What i notice is that when i re-install oqc the errors stop, i use the term re install loosely as it only gets 85% of the way there. Then run a repair and rebuild. I then have to run the script that gets generated , but it only works after changing the float value to 53.

My system was perfect till oqc happened to it. any advice welcome
