Reordering sales stages (sales_stage_dom)

Hi folks,

We want to reorder the sales stages in our installation. It looks the method and consequences for editing sales stages has changed a lot between versions, so I just wanted to confirm what was necessary to make this work fully.

- We only want to reorder the stages, not add, remove, or edit them

- I see we can use the dropdown editor (version 5.0.0x)

- There were mentions that sales_probability_dom/quote_stage_dom relied on the values from sales_stage_dom. Do changes need to be made to those too?

- Will existing records maintain their correct association with a stage after the stages are reordered, or will the reordering cause existing records to be have their associations changed?

In version 5.0.0* you can directly change the ordering by editing the file /include/language/en_us.php resp.
/custom//include/language/en_us.php (if you changed the dropdown already by Studio) and changing the order of the rows.

The dependencies to quote_stage_dom and sales_probability_dom do not generate any issues if you only reorder the lines.

But remember to repair the language or remove the language files into cache. Without doing this the changes has no effect.

Variables changed in include's langauge file does not need repairing of the langauge file.
