Default "Reply" instead of "Edit" in draft mail

    EDIT : Fixed in 6.2.0.patch

    Hello,
    I'm having a confusion on Sugar 6.2 that I just upgraded from Sugar 4.5 (going through 5.1, 5.2, 5.5, 6.0, 6.1, and finally 6.2)

When somebody writes an email, and saves it as a Draft, and wants to come back on it later, it's written "Reply", instead of "Edit" near the Delete button.

    It's really confusing.
I searched in the translations file (I installed Sugar in French with a translation pack) and it appears that there is no line for something like "LBL_DRAFT_EDIT", there is only 'LBL_EMAIL_REPLY', which means Reply ... and not edit !

Do you have a solution for this problem ?

    Thank you.

    Hi oraulin,

I am using Sugar 6.1.3 CE and Sugar 6.2 and what you describe is not how drafts are shown.

Drafts are saved in a folder called "My Drafts" (which is a sub-folder of "My Emails") and the options given are Send, Save Draft and Options. However other emails folders show emails closer to what you describe (with options given including Reply, Reply All, Forward and Delete).

I wonder whether your drafts folder had a different name in the older versions of Sugar and this got carried forward during your upgrade process? If so you could try changing the drafts folder name to "My Drafts".
    Kind regards,

    Adrian

    Thanks for your answer.

Actually, the problem is not really situated in the Emails tab, but more in the "Accounts" tab.
(I use a french translation for sugar, maybe the name Account is not really present in original version)

On a "Account" page of a client, sectino "Activities", there is a possibility to "create an email" attached to this account.

After it has been saved as a draft, when I try to come back on it, I get these two buttons "Answer" and "Delete".

When I click "Answer", it loads me the Emails page where I can edit the message normally.

    I don't know if I'm clear ... :-)

    Thanks again.

    Hi oraulin,

I see what you mean. The draft email is accessible from the history sub panel and it does show two options "Reply" and "Delete" when you click on the subject name. However, (instead of clicking on the subject name) you can click on the edit link (located at the end of the line showing the draft email) and this will take you to the emails module, open the draft and allow you to resume editing.
    Kind regards,

    Adrian

    That's true, thank you.

    So, maybe it's a real bug ?

    Hi oraulin,

Yes it would make much more sense to have the option "Edit" instead of "Reply" for draft emails accessed via the History sub-panel.
    Kind regards,

    Adrian
