I created a new module in 5.2.0k and deployed it. After that, I wanted to perform a few changes and tried to uninstall the module. It failed at 70%. I tried again, and ever since, I get error messages after 25%.

Anyhow - a google search indicated that this is a common issue with Sugar and there seems to be no solution for it.

So I am wondering: how can I restore my system?

I have a full backup of the system (files & db) before finalizing the module.
I also have a backup of the ~/custom folder (created after finalizing the module)

Where does Sugar store undeployed modules?
How can I restore my system?
