    Default Restoring original fields

I need some help figuring out how to restore an original field that was deleted in error. When I removed a particular field (title) from the View layout in Leads, somehow it was deleted and took all of the contents with it! Now I am left with 400 leads and no titles! Is there a way to restore the original field & restore all of the content?

    diana.stuhlmiller,

You can restore the fields through the History. Go to Studio and there you can find the history. You can restore the fields from there.

    HTH.

    Regards,

I appreciate your response, although I didn't see the option for History within the Studio. Is this option available at the Open Source level? Can you give me a little more direction?

Our company had the same issue; a "magic" field like 'title' was deleted, and the revision History had disappeared completely.

I did something like this a few months ago to successfully restore the field to the List View:

Replace the corresponding ListView.html (in your case htdocs/sugarcrm/modules/Leads/ListView.html) with a "clean" copy of the file. If you don't have a clean, unedited copy of ListView.html on file, you can download a copy from http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/download/sugar-suite.html.

Now, it's been several months since I did this... hope I haven't missed anything

^^I need to correct my previous post

According to my notes, replacing the module's DetailView.html and EditView.html was required to restore the stock field.
Apparently, restoring the the missing field to the Studio is not as simple... Our Sugar host is working on that...

N.B. We had to resort to this technique only because Sugar's revision history had disappeared.
