    Default Role based hirerachiel structure

    Hello,
I am using PHP5.X, Apache2.2, Mysql5.X. I am using Surarsmr5.0.od. I want to use the feature for role based management. I can explain you in the following manner:-
    project manager
    ------------------------------|-------------------------------------------
    Team Manager1 -----------------Team Manager2
    --------------|------------------------------------|-------------------------------
    Developer1 Developer2 --------- Developer3 Developer4
    -----|------- -----|-------- ---|----- -----|-------
    S1 S2 S3 S4 S5 S6 S7 S8 S9 S10 S11 S12.

If I login as ProjectManager i should be able to view all the information of Team Manger1(including all its submodules(developers1&Developer2) and sub-submodules(s1,s2,s3,......s12).I should be able to see who is next to Projectmanger, along with all the list of data concerned to them.

If i log in as developer1 i should be able to view my sub childs names(s1,s2,s3) and should be able to access data listing.
The data which is shared among s1 should not be shared among others i.e. s2 or s3. Hope i could explain it clearly what my requirement is.

Plz help me out. thanks for u r precious time.

    Regards,
    Shivaranjani

    Hi Shivaranjani,
I am not to much exp in sugarcrm.
But I wan to share my view with you.
I think you set the role when you r going to create the user. that mean make two extra field in user table and set who is the boss of whose.
now when you log as a particular user and generate the list view you check that how much scope the current user have.
I don't know this is a right suggestion or not....................but i think it can be done by this way.
I will also try to start it.
    Best of luck
    Atin

    Hi, all.

I believe the Security Suite can do that, it is available for SugarCRM 5.0
You can find discussions about it in the sugar forum and its installer for download into sugar forge.

    Hi Team,

    I am new to sugarcrm.

In my project , i want to restrict the display of user list when clicking on Employees Button which will be on top.

We have Different roles, Different users.

I have assigned roles to users.

Now the requirement is like :

If admin logged in and clicks on Employee he can see all the users details.
    If users with name " a and b " are under " ADMIN ",
    If users with name " c and d " are under " a ".
    If users with name " e and f " are under " b ".
If user with name "x" is under "c".

Let say User a has logeed in and clciks on "Employees" , then he should be able to user list as " a and c and d and x " as c and d are under a and as well as x is under c.

Like this i want to restrict the display of user list when clcik on employee button.

    Please help me.

    Thanks
    Satya
