Default Role Permissions for the Activities Module

How do you set the Role permissions for the Activities Module? Activities does not show up in the Role Management Admin page.

    We are using Sugar 5.1.0b

    Thanks

    Hi,

Under roles you find each separate activity, i.e call, meetings, emails and tasks
    Cheers Malcolm

    Thanks malcolm

But I've already tried this. I changed the role permissions for calls, meetings, tasks, notes, and emails. Every time I click on the 'View Summary' button on the 'History' subpanel, the pop up says :

"Warning: You do not have permission to access this module."

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

this depends on the role permission you set up. What are the permissions you set for each module for the user you are using? You may have set a restriction on one of these modules that would affect your ability to access certain information.

    Thanks for the reply

Each of these modules have Access = Enabled, User Type = Normal, Delete = None, Edit = All, Export = None, Import = None, List = All, View = All

    Does that help?

The role you set up is fine and should not affect the access to view these modules.

Check the 'My Account' edit view for the user having the issue. In the Layout Options area, make sure that the 'Activities' is not in the Hide Tabs column.

Also make sure in the admin area under 'Configure Tabs' that the Activities is not in the Hide Tabs column

I take it back. Your previous post helped make it work. Thanks, sugarcane. We have several development environments here at my office and I made the role changes in one environment and and then tried to view the changes in another environment. That's the downfall of having multiple environments open at once. Oh well.

    thanks again
