Roof construction - How do i resize text area boxes

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know where I can adjust the text area boxes? Right now the text area boxes is twice as big than my text field boxes which makes it esthetically unpleasing because of the horizontal scroll bars. I've tried sifting through the editview.html and listview.html but no luck in those 2 files unless I'm not doing something right. If someone can guide me on how or what to look for, that would be great!

Based on your question I assume you are using 4.5 or less.

Resizing can be done by changing the html code (should be the size attribute). The problem with this is that it is now NOT upgrade safe or requires that you publish things to the custom folder and cache. Have you considered moving to 5.0. You have more control built in and things are easier to customize and still be upgrade safe.

Yes, I use CE 5.0b i change the textarea size in file /var/www/sugar/modules/Contacts/metadata/editviewdefs.php

but the was no change in editview .... what can I do now, its for the description field in contacts.
