Default rPath Appliance - server time won't behave

We are running the Sugar Appliance 4.5.1d version, and I noticed that the system time keeps moving ahead by about 45 minutes a day. I keep going into administration every couple of days to look at the system time, and having to move it back to correct time.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes of course. It is caused because you are using VMware virtualization. It is a pretty typical problem and there are a lot of discussions of why this is happening and how to fix it on the VMware forums. Please search VMware forums for the issue. Or at least specify your hardware and host OS.

We're running on an HP / AMD dual core processor, with Windows Server as the host OS.

I see the setting for NTP in the configuration section of the appliance, but when I set it to synch time with our domain server's IP address is says it saved the settings, then re-paints the screen and reverts right back to the original setting (no synchronization). Weird.
