sales target?

hello,

I was wondering whether there was a place in SugarCrm where it would be possible to set "sales target" per sales (or "budget" so as to analyse the variance). (Quarterly, S.Annual and Annual). That would allow me to check how well the job is being carried out and take action in case a sales is in difficulty.

didnt see any function that would help me do that...

does it exist?

Sounds like its time for a customization.

From the admin, studio you can add a field to the correct module to track this. I would assume you want this in the opportunities module. So go to that module from Studio and add a custom field for this. Then go to the layout for BOTH edit and detials and add the field to the screen somewhere.

You may also need to this to a custom vardef.php file but that is something I'm still struggling with over a customization I am working on. I'll leave that to the experts.

Hi,

I did someting like this already. What I did was add another entry called target in the sales stage field of the opportunity module
then have your users set their respective targets per month. Also, I believe there is a module for this in sugarforge. Just don't remember the name for now.
