Save & Deploy Not depoloying

Hello,

I have this weird problem since yesterday.

At first I thought server was slow and the changes would be there in the morning, but still not there.

I am making changes via studio Leads--->Layout--->Listview

I made my changes, and hit Save & Deploy, like I always do. It saves it, but does not deploy it. Made many changes to see if it was not just the fiels I wanted to view, so I just went with 4 basic items that are still viewed. Stil not deploying the changes, Changes are saved though I can see that.

I tried changing Listview in other modules : Accounts, opportunities the are Saved and Deployed correctly. I tried changing some other layouts in Leads and changes are Saved and Deployed too.

So any ideas why only the Leads Listview not working at all. Tried Restore Default, and that also is not deployed

We need to change that list view on order to view correctly our leads under certain fields.

I've attached a picture. The red square is what is being saved and deployed. The rest is the list view from our leads module which doesn't change at all.



Any ideas ?

You should have a look at

• custom\working\modules\Leads\metadata (this is where the view is saved)
• custom\modules\Leads\metadata (here it will be deployed)

Are these directories and files inside OK? Access rights?
Error messages in sugarcrm.log?

I do not think I have access to those.

Our sugar is hosted by a Sugar Partner company, and therefor I do not think I have access to the directory of where Sugar is.

Unless I am mistaken and do not understand what you are telling me to look at.

Calling them will probably end-up in having to pay $$$ to fix it, if they indeed have to look inside the directories

Here two ideas what you could do without looking into the file system:

You could try to do a quick repair (in admin->Repair). Maybe this helps.

The log file you can download via admin->Diagnostic Tool.

Quick repair did not work.

Better call those guys and have them fix it. Might pay, but will have it running faster

I'm having the same problem... nothing in the logs... access rights are fine... the save button has disappeared, but the save and deploy is still there. I'm unable to save and deploy... it adds entries to the history but the changes aren't committed to the layout. I'm just trying to add the date modified to the lead list...

Here's a little heads up.

Found out yesterday that if you go into ADVANCED SEARCH then LAYOUT OPTIONS the fields are there.

But some weird reason Leads Module is the only module acting differently from other modules. Other modules you save and deploy and it does what the button says. It saves and deploys.

Leads module works differently, maybe it was made on a friday afternoon....but when you hit Save and deploy it saves but fails to deploy, you need to go to Layout options and deploy fields manually.

So I think it's a bug that should be fixed.

For we paid a few hours of time to have the problem looked into, to basicaly be told to deploy manually......
