    Default Saving mail account information hanging

    When I try to add a new email account to my email settings under my CRM account, it hangs with the following message:

    "Saving Mail Account Information"
    One Moment Please...

    I am trying to create a new email account connection to a Google Apps account. I'm using the following information:

    Username: username@mydomain.com
    Password: mypassword
    Mail Server Address: imap.gmail.com
    Mail Server Protocol: IMAP
    Use SSL: yes
    Mail Server Port: 993
    Monitored Folders: INBOX
    Trash Folder: Trash

    I can't seem to save any configuration without crashing my Chrome browser.

    HELP!!!!

    Hi,

    I have exaclty the same problem

    I've seen a few post on the subject but no one seems to have an answer.

    Does anybody know what happens ?

    I've read that you have to ask the system administrator to add php imap c-client extensions to your web server
    but in my case i've checked with the sysadmin and imap is enable, and still it does not work.

    I'm desesparatly waiting for a Guru to help us resolve this issue ...

    I've made a new install of sugar crm 6.1.0CR3 (complete install not an upgrade this time).
    Although the installer finds the imap service, I'm still unable to receive emails.

    Please help us

    I've tried to install sugar 6.1.0CR3 on another web server (www.hosteur.com).
    With exactly the same result ... everything goes perfeclty except the inbound emails

    the same problem : when I hit the test settings button it shows "one moment please" for a long time and nothing happens.

    The same error code : when I It the "done button" it showx the message "one moment please" for a long time then the error message : "exception occured : communication failure"

    Doesn't all this look like a bug in Sugar ?

    Did you manage to resolve this. I have a sugar instance that's behaving the same.
