Scalability - multiple entities on one server
Hi,
Tricky question: does somebody out there have an idea about the scalability of Sugar? Concrete: I am supposed to offer a solution to a company with multiple subsidiaries of which each will use its own set of data (distinct product lines). They all will use the same database instance (MSSQL or MYSQL) but due to Sugar's architecture I have to set up one Sugar version / database per subsidiary. I reckon that we will have app. 15 entities with 7-15 users each. None of them will be using the system heavily.
How much processing power do I need and what's about required RAM? Disk space is no issue because SAN is available but there will be very few mass mailings and most probably no documents stored.
Is one decent server enough? Or do I have to propose more than one?
Server OS will be Debian, Suse or RedHat, no MS. DB is not decided yet but if it's MSSQL it will most probably reside on a different server with a GBit connection.
Thanks in advance.
