Hi all,
My setup:
SugarOS 4.5.1e upgrade (see below)
Linux, Ubuntu 6.10 'edgy'
Apache 2.0.55
PHP 5.1.6
MySQL 5.0.24a
I have a mailing campaign set up to run every ten minutes; each time, it fails silently. The mail itself works -- I can go to the mail component in Sugar, and send a mail message to myself without any problems. However, when the scheduled mailing campaign event rolls around, the Sugar event log shows 'In progress' for about half a minute, and then it changes to 'failed'.
Nothing is logged into sugarcrm.log, and nothing is logged into /var/log/mail.log. The problem seems to be in the scheduler itself. I already tried 'Refresh jobs', it didn't help. The symptoms -- or lack thereof -- are the same, whether I use SMTP or Sendmail mail configuration.
Now there is something unpleasant about our set up. it used to be 4.2.0, and it wouldn't upgrade cleanly -- each time i tried to upgrade it (to 4.2.1 and then 4.5.1), it would end up showing a slew of PHP errors. I ended up upgrading it to 4.2.1 and then 4.5.1, and then simply replacing the whole code tree with a fresh one, and re-doing the configuration. Now Sugar runs without errors, and everything looks OK -- but the mailing campaign fails.
Also, when I finished the upgrade, i noticed one interesting change. Our scheduled campaign was set to run every ten minutes every hour, but after the upgrade, it became set to run 4-6am on the hour. it looks like the upgrader decided to change the schedule somewhat. i reset it back. I am not sure if this is relevant to the problem.
Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong, or at least of how I could figure out more, given that the failure is silent (logging works, other stuff gets logged to sugarcrm.log without problems). Reinstalling Sugar from scratch, and re-populating its DB, is not really an option, givent hat we have a multi-gigabyte set of leads and contacts and stuff.
many thanks in advance.
