Search accounts not working

when I try to search for an account that I know exists the page refreshes clears the search box and shows all acounts.

I am very much an amature with sugar, a new user who needs help. what am I going wrong?

Can you elaborate on how you are going about performing your search? i.e. What are the exact steps you are taking? (mouse clicks and key strokes)

From your description, it sounds as though the "Clear" button has focus, and hitting Enter would yield the behavior you describe.

We have a list of about 700 autodealerships in accounts,

when I enter the name of one of the dealerships in the quick search it remains until I press search. the page refreshes and reterns the full list of dealerships and a blank search feild.

I have renames Clients to Dealership through out the program, do you thing this is the problem?

I am not sure I understand what you did.

Are you saying that all your Accounts are named like so: "Dealership XYZ", "Dealership ABC", etc?

If so, what are you typing into the search field?
