I would like to export a list of records where a datefield has been populated, if blank ignore, any ideas ?

But if you're expecting sugar to do this ... it doesn't .... but it's not too difficult to write a custom sql script that would.

If you have Sugar Pro or Ent, then you can easily create a report which pulls those records where the date field 'is not empty'. If you are using CE and have a 3rd party plugin, a similar report with a similar filter can be created.

If you are using CE and do not have a reporting tool implemented, then salesagility is correct - you can easily run a SQL query on the database to pull such information. Out of the box, your only other option would be to export all the records from that module list view, and then sort by your data field in the CSV to remove all the ones without a data populated.
