Search by exact phrase

Hello, I need to search on a string field with exact phrase. I know sugar is adding "%" before and after the word... how can I avoid this - only for a single field on the search panel.

across the application, or in a specific field in a specific module ... sugar does not automatically add the % to the beginning of search strings

Let me be more specific.

I cerated a customize field, called affiliate, this field is "text" and is set in on the search panel as well.

Now, I have affiliates with numbers and letter, if I want to search by affiliate 4, it display the values: 4. 64. 44. 41.

My question is how can I make the search in order to be display only the records with value: 4
