Search Related to field 5.0b in Meetings & Tasks

Hello everyone!
I am having a real problem with the search functionality in Sugar CRM. I have added to the basic search panel, via studio, the 'related to' field for Tasks, Meetings and Calls. However when I navigate to these pages IE 7.0 displays an error 'Identifier expected' and the popup for selecting the 'parent name' refuses to fire.

In addition, if I select the parent type, Accounts' for example and then type in the account name in the adjoining 'Related to field' and then search...nothing is returned.

The html generated looks fine and, given that this is vanilla functionality more or less, on a super important part of any CRM app, I am wondering whether its an IE 7.0 problem?

Any ideas gratefully received!

I believe it is an issue from IE 7.0
Some customers had reported similar errors.

Thanks for the reply! I took your advice and tried the same app on firefox with the same result..no error this time but I cannot get the 'parent_type 'popup window to select my parent in the search. A closer look at the code shows a rather suspicious HTML/javascript "onclick='open_popup(document..parent_type.val ue, 600, 400, "", true, false, , "single", true)"

If I compare this for say, the mass update 'related to' field 'Select' button

"onclick='open_popup(document.MassUpdate.parent_ty pe.value, 600, 400, "", true, false, {"call_back_function":"set_return","form_name":"Ma ssUpdate","field_to_name_array":{"id":"parent_id", "name":"parent_name"}})"

It seems to me that the form is not being referenced correctly in Search i.e. should be document.search_form.parent_type

Any ideas where this code is being generated and what might be done to fix it, gratefully appreciated!
