Search settings

Is there a way to change the search settings so that it searched for any part of the search query. Example if I type Dr. Smith i would like the record for all the "smith" to come up. Or if I have an account called Dr. Smith and I do a search for "Smith" then that record comes up. Thanks.

You just have to type into search field a text like that:

%Smith%

is there any way to add that to the source code, so that we dont have to use the %

I´m not sure, but perhaps Enhanced Search accomplish such request.
