Search is showing a blank, so is the home page, no instant data, HELP

Appreciate any help.

I have tried to search accounts, contacts etc but a company/contact that I know is in the database, the search results draw a blank.

I can access company data, via the links in the calendar where there is a entry, but my home page is showing a blank, I cannot seem to access any data via search but can access certain records via last viewed option

I have logged in as myself and as admin but nothing is coming up...there is obviously data there as I can access this via the calendar and last viewed - but the searching draws a blank

Is this a Server issue or Sugar issue?

I access my sugar crm via a web browser, running SQL 2005 on the server
Version 4.5.1d (Build 1273)

The home page shows only your info by default. In other words: only records assigned to logged user will be visible. If there is no such records you will see empty tables. This can be easily changed in options of each dashlet ('My ...' checkbox).

With regard to search function in main modules, how did you perform search? By full title or only by a part? For example if there is company titled 'First Company' and you try to search by 'Company' string (a part) - you don't find it. The solution which I know is to search using the '%' symbol: instead of 'Company' type '%Company%'.

the only way I can access any data is by clicking the last viewed or via the calendar links of an activity that I've completed or have set.

Any searches even with % will not bring up anything at all

It is as though the data has somehow gone missing and can only be accessed via calendar or via last viewed.

I cannot access any other data?

Any ideas
