i have to make changes in a form of a pop up , adding custom fields manually (in studio can you do this????)

and i have the next filles , searching and reading i discovered that the files to mod are this....

are the definitions of serach fields for basic and advanced search....

1 - modules/ModuleName/metadata/searchdefs.php.

and this? ->
2 - custom/modules/ModuleName/metadata/searchdefs.php.


¿is this true? ¿is there more files to mod???

the question is .... what is the difference between the first and the second ¿what is the file i have to modify???

Hi,
you are right if you want to remove any field of Basic Search or Advance Search you
can change by that file
and
the answer of second question is that
when you change anything you using the STUDIO
then you have to change regarding that in Custom Directory
