Searching and linking data from Accounts and Custom Modules

I have built a couple of custom modules for my employer. It's basically a list of proficiencies for any particular account.

What I have been asked to do is make those fields searchable.

In addition, some of the information they would like to reference in the search is in the accounts_cstm fields.

So for proficiencies, an example would be are they good at X or Y or Z and to what degree.

The problem I'm running into is they also want to reference say

Who's good at X or Y or Z in this Postal Code.

Postal code is in accounts, proficiencies is in a custom module/tab/subpanel

I also have one where like accounts, if they want to know whos good at X or Y or Z in this branch ares.

Where branch is in accounts_cstm.

Not sure if that matters, but wanted to detail.

If this is a reporting issue (what it sounds like expescially if you also want to have questions answered like not good at) you can use our free KINAMU Reporter to answer those questions in simple reports with flexible selectioncriteria. If you need the selection in the search fields this is not that easy.
