Security Suite - Reassignments

Greetings,

I have discovered a problem with the security suite and was wondering if anyone has found a work around.

Say user1, who belongs to Team A, creates an opportunity. Later on, the administrator re-assigns the opportunity from User1 to User2 who is in another group.

The problem I have discovered is this record appears for both user 1 and user 2. When I check the securitygroups_record table, the record has been assigned twice -> once to user one and a second time to user2, however the delete field for the first record was not updated when the assignment was changed from user 1 to user 2.

Does anyone know a way or a line of code that can be added to solve this problem. I am currently using Sugar 5.0.0.

Yep, the best way to make sure you get a response, at least from myself, is to post on the project forum.

This behavior is as designed for the "Inherit from Assigned User" option. This module takes the policy of never automatically removing relationships. However, this could be a good feature request as a system wide optional setting. If you can't wait and want to automate the removing of a group association upon reassignment you should be able to do so by utilizing the after_save logic hook.
