Send email after save

Hi, i need to send an email when i create a Lead. I heard that a logic hook can be used to achieve this, using after_save.
I want to specify a page that will be used to send a custom email. How can i do this? Please guide.

Try Process Manager from the SugarForge. Might save you code customisations. You can trigger actions on Save.

Seems good for my purpose. How can i trigger the action of sending email, on save ?
Can we specify our own "to address", "from address", and message body with this ?
I need to dynamically specify them, not static.

Hi, i have followed all the steps shown in the demo, but an email is not sent after creating a Lead.
I have written a mail function in the custom script, which is not working.

I have also setup a scheduled task, and run the ProcessManager bat file.
Even i have changed the task type to Send Email, but still the email is not sent to the address specified in the
create Lead form.
Dont know, what went wrong with me.
