Send email asking customers to update their own account details

Hi all,

I hope this finds you well.

I came across the "create lead form" functionality yesterday and I was wondering whether anyone would know how to send an email at the start of every month asking the client to update his own account details in SugarCrm?

I am guessing that it has something to do with a campaign sending him a programmed template email via containing a url link to his details within sugar that he then submits, but its all a bit over my head as I've just started with this wonderful piece of kit!

Create lead form actually refers to setting up a Web to Lead form: this allows people to populate a form on your website, and when they submit, a new lead record is created in your CRM. Do you mean that you want to send an email to Users of your system to clean up their accounts in the system? Or to your actual customers? What version of Sugar are you using? CE/Pro/Ent? Only Ent has the portal where customers can log in a view/update their information.

If you want to send a mass email to your customers, then campaigns would probably be the way to go.
