send email notification on task assignment

I have checked the 3 boxes under email settings that "notifications on" etc.
However, if I assign a task to another user it does not send a notification. It also does not send notifications when I setup meetings or calls assigned to another user.

How do I get these notifications to work ?

Hi Chris

You need to configure the email settings into SugarCRM to enable SugarCRM to send emails.

The mail is setup and it does work. For example, if I schedule a call and invite people, it does send the email invites out. This all works correcting.

The problem is that it is not sending automatic notifications when I create a task, lead, call etc.

Fresh clean install and I am having the exact same issue.

I just did a fresh install as well and the assignment notifications aren't working for us either.

Did you check the "Notify on Assignment" check box into "My Account" page?

I am using the Community edition, and I can get the email notification to work EXCEPT when a Project Task is created and assigned (which is actually all we want the email for).

I understand I could make a logic hook, but I want to make sure that this feature is NOT in the Community Edition before I go and make one.

my prblem is, i create a new meeting and take for this 2 persons (excl. admin who create the meeting)
the first persn in this list get the notificationmail, the second not....
also often i create one meeting and invite 2 persons, again the first in list get the notivication to verivy this meeting. when he klick this link flollowing error appears:
