send queued campaign emails fails

Hi

wehn i click sen i get the usual delay as it tries to send, then goes to ablank screen with a "111", i go back to the queue an 2-3 emails have sent.

using latest 50.b CE

nothing has changed in my setup, as troubleshooting steps ive even tried using another smtp server, same results. i lowered/increased the mac emails sent experimenting it always has the same result. i tried checking file permissions.

this problem is ringing a bell and i seem to think i had it before but can;t remember what i did./


i gave up last night and the cronjob did send a few more out but i prefer to send them all out manually in batches of 20-40 each (its not that large), and its not working again.

would be grateful for any suggestions or ideas if i may have overlooked something in my server config

im still digging:

tried running cron.php manually, i get a few lines of
undefined variable btracker in EmailMan.php

is this my problem or some other issue?

i dont see anything in my sugarcrm or other logs its frustrating not knowing where to look.

when i click send it does send exactly 3 emails and stop.

Hi there

I found the same issue, If it helps I brought the number of emails to send per batch down to 300 from 500. You can find this parameter in the sugar gui Admin -> Campaign Email Settings: Number of emails sent per batch.

You will probably note that a number of emails will have been sent even if you do see the error message (11111), but its a pain. Another little trick is to run campaign emails when your sugar system is not in use.

thanks very much but i tried those things, its only sending 2 or 3 emails at a time, the crontab is running as a few went overnight. no matter what i change the # of emails to send per batch, it only does 2-3.

Hi florenceit

Have you tried to increase the following - 'special_query_limit', 'slow_query_time_msec' and 'special_query_limit'. These variables are in yoursugarfiles -> config.php

You can also look at similar variables in config_override.php in the same file as the config.php.

hi,

i just tried adding a zero to each of these numbers, restarted apache to be safe and still no luck.

BUT, your idea got me thinking about timeouts and remember having issues in the past due to php settings, and sure enough my max_execution_time in php.ini was too short! that fixed it! thanks for getting me down the right path, that totally explains why it was sending 2-3 emails each time, thats all it could do in 30 seconds
