    Angry Sending Invites causes the associated contact to receive an email

    I'm having trouble understanding why an associated contact to a sent invite for a meeting or call ends up receiving an email instead of just the invites to the call or meeting in question.

    I really could use someones input on this because it makes no sense for this to happen and I hope its a bug, not a feature.

    Hi, trinsic.

    Can you explain in detail the behavior?

    You created a meeting/call;
    Invited some users an contacts to that activity;

    ...
    ...
    ...

    Sent invites and someone else received the invite.

    Hi Thanks for the response. When I create a meeting or call, and I select the contact it is to be assoicated with it, I didnt know that when I choose some invites and click send invite that the contact itself gets sent an email with along with the employees in invited to recive it. I was thinking that the contact itself should not receive and invite (since they are not employees) unless it was specific choosen to do so.

    Hi, trinsic.

    Be patient

    Some time all sugar gurus are busy.

    There is no upgrade safe way.
    You have to override the function send_assignment_notifications in data/SugarBean.php
    Take a look inside this one and in the function save() in the SugarBean,php
    You´ll see what it does.

    Cheers
