Sending a letter to a single person

I'm having problems understanding how to do something, although I assume it's possible.

I often write letters to prospects and clients. Not email, letters.

I want to be able to email a single person a letter, preferably using some type of template with their address already loaded.

We used ACT! before, and this was a snap. You just clicked the Contact and then wrote a new document. I think GM also does this. I can't figure it out in SugarCRM.

We are using SugarOS 5.2 right now, but purchased SugarCRM Pro 5.2 (not yet running). So if this is a Pro related function, let me know.

Questions:

* Can I just go to my Contact and write them a darn letter?
* Or do I have to setup some kind of mail merge with just a single person?
* How do I easily attach the letter back to the contact? The "upload" feature in the SugarCRM Plugin seems to want to upload a new template to your Documents folder, not attach to the Contact.

It would be very nice to be able to write someone a letter using a method similar to how ACT! and GoldMine does it. I assume SugarCRM Pro supports this, but I don't see how.

Okay, quick update.

I think the upgrade from SugarCRM CE to SugarCRM PRO fixed something. Before, if I tried this in the Word plug-in, I couldn't get it to work. Now it does. So that's one solution. Unfortunately, it's still very tedious since I now have to create a note and upload. I guess I'm used to the one-step process of ACT! and GoldMine for this, so looking at it from that angle.

Here is what would be nice:

You go to a Contact and click Write Letter
