Sending Mail Timeout

Hi All,

I'm a newbie to SugarCRM, I just downloaded and installed the BitRock installer today. Overall, I love it so far very exciting stuff. After searching the forums all morning, trying to find a resolution with no success I hope someone out there can help me.

OS: Windows Server 2003 hosted on my lan.
Everything else is current, as I stated I just downloaded the Bitrock installer today. 2/28/07

I'm using Google Apps for my domain for e-mail. I can receive e-mail in Sugar from Gmail fine. However, when I try to send or reply Sugar just hangs there with a blank screen, no error message or prompt or anything.

I looked the the log file and found this:
PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in \sugarcrm-4.5.1\\htdocs\\sugarcrm\\include\\phpmailer\\class .smtp.php on line 1024, referrer: http://192.168.1.243/sugarcrm/index.php

I have no firewalls blocking ports and can send/receive into Gmail via outlook. I've also triple checked my settings, SSL, Port# etc..etc..all according to Gmails Specs.

Anyone have a clue as to what is causing this?

I am having a similar setup and facing the same problem. Did anyone find a solution for this so far.

I however came across another thread that suggested to verify the ISP is blocking SMTP port 25. I am yet to try that solution.

Any assistance is appreciated.
