Sending Ticket Via Email Client

Hi There,

I have 2 Questions.

1 I'm implementing the SugarCRM in my call center. I was wondering if we can have a send button on the Create Cases(Cases Module). when i click on send it should take me to email client and i should be able to send that ticket to external email addresses. all help appreciated. Thank you.


2 I'm also trying to add 2 Dynamic_Drop_Downs. when i click the value in the first Drop_Down the second Drop_Down should automatically display the respective values for that particular value.all help appreciated. Thank you.

We had implemented these features before for some customers.

The feature 1:
You have to modify the custom/modules/Cases/metadata/detailviewdefs.php and add a new button which points to a new script, to be developed. This new script should send that ticket using the Email modules.

The feature 2:
You have to create the dropdowns (primary and secundaries). Then you define an onchange event on primary dropdown, which points to a ajax based javascript, which will populate the second one. There are articles into Sugar Wiki that can help you implementing that.
