Question Sent Items are not monitored from Outlook to SugarCRM emailbox

We use Community Edition of Version 5.2.0j (Build 5804) .
When we do settings of SugarCRM which synchronizes with Outlook,
the are trash folder and sent folder can be selected from Outlook we are using.

However, there is only Inbox which is successfully synchronized with SugarCRM, the trash and sent items are not done at all.

Is it possible that when I compose and send out a mail from Outlook, and the server synchronizes the sent item from Outook to SugarCRM as well?

Besides,if I delete email from SugarCRM email box, the mail is permanent deleted and we can't find it in any other folder.

    How to solve these problems?
    thank you!!

The sent folder is not synchronised with the sugarcrm email client ... use one of the sugarforge Outlook plugins to sync these emails

Sorry, meant to include this ... sent mail from sugarcrm does not automatically sync with outlook sent mail ... you should set a policy ... either sugar is the email client or outlook is ... if you use both you will have problems .. IMHO ... you should use a desktop email client and sync from there to sugar ... the sugar email client is not good enough yet.

Question Re: Sent Items are not monitored from Outlook to SugarCRM emailbox

Thank you for replying sent items' part.

    Another question toward to Email.
if I delete email from SugarCRM email box, the mail is permanent deleted and we can't find it in any other folder.
In other words, if I delete a mail in SugarCRM, though there is a deleted items folder, the deleted mail won't show up in that folder, but permanently deleted.

    How to solve this one?

Just tested this and you are correct ... deleted items are deleted and do not appear in the deleted folder.

There was a lot of chatter on the forums about the email client recently ... led by sugar ... the issues with the sugarcrm email client are considerable and I would not recommend its use for production purposes.

Sugar will be addressing this in release 5.5.1 but until then I'd go for a client side application

Outlook does this on dovecot servers too, so I didn't really notice the issue.

But for the most part, we've been using the web client for our new staff in here, I need to look for a small light e-mail notifier because Sugar's mail client doesn't automatically check for mail like it should. Other than a few quirks it's been working fine for me.

I would like to see a total redesign of the e-mail client, but for now it's working for us.

Is there a thread or site to submit recommendations for the new e-mail client? We should be able to auto-subscribe to all standard boxes as opposed to have to individually select them.
