Separating the Sugar CM Database

Hi there,

I have been using the SugarCRM virtual appliance. I was wondering if there is any way that the database can be separated from the SugarCRM web-front? For example, I want to have the SugarCRM database residing in a separate Virtual Machine, and the Web-front in another virtual machine. This way i can have SQL queries traversing the network.

Is this possible?

That should be no problem ... it's not unusual to have database servers and applications on two separate boxes, virtual or otherwise.

You just need to update the config.php to specify the new database host and credentials.
