    Default Serious bug in 4.2.1d re: unannounced attachments

    We've found a REALLY serious bug in 4.2.1d...

    If you compose an email from an account (using a recipient from the contact list), the e-mail attaches documents that are listed with the account.

    This wouldn't be a problem, but there is NO indication that the document is attached.

    Is this a known bug? Is it fixed anywhere?

    We had a pending legal document attached to an account, and it was sent to the client when we just sent them a regular e-mail. Not good at all.

    I would upgrade to 4.5 but I can't, I posted another message about that. For whatever reason the upgrade wizard does not work at all...gives me an error everytime.

    Thanks,

    Alex

    On a 4.2.1a install, is there a way to upgrade to 4.2.1d?

    I am unable to upgrade to 4.5 because of this posted issue:
    http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showt...ed=1#post57079

    This is running:
    PHP 4.4.3
    mySQL 4.1.7

    PHP extensions:
    Build Date => Oct 19 2006 20:33:01
    Configure Command => './configure' '--with-mysql=/usr' '--with-curl' '--with-zl
    ib' '--with-sockets' '--with-openssl' '--with-apache=../apache_1.3.29' '--with-i
    map' '--with-imap-ssl' '--with-kerberos' '--enable-mbstring=all' '--enable-mbreg
    ex'
    Server API => Command Line Interface

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hi Alex -

    4.2.1d should be out in the next day or so. Let's work together to make sure you can upgrade to 4.2.1d and then upgrade to 4.5.0. I really want to find out what the issue is on your system.

    I can't upgrade from 4.2.1d to 4.5.0h

    There isn't a patch that doesn't say when trying to upgrade 'The uploaded file is not compatible with this flavor of Sugar Suite: 4.2.1d'

    Yes

    SugarOS-Upgrade-4.2.1-to-4.5.0h.zip

    The exact phase was

    "The uploaded file is not compatible with this flavor of Sugar Suite: 4.2.1d'

    On a test version on local server, I tried looking for table rows from non-existant upgrades, but there were none.

    Not sure what the underlying cause is but you may want to edit the manifest.php file and modify the versions enumerated there. I forget the array name but it's pretty obvious, near the beginning of the file.

    Hope this helps.
