    Post Setting callback reminder ??????

    Hi
    Our CRM setup is let say in PST (time zone). the calling agent logs in PST but calls across US with all the time zone i.e. PST, CST, MST & EST. If he has to setup a callback reminder for a customer of EST & also some other time zones let say CST, how do we manage this to set a reminder at required time.

    In order to facilitate this, you would need the ability to track the time zone of each scheduled activity or the contact/account for which it pertains. Unfortunately, this does not exist. I am not exactly sure that would be the best way of handling it in the first place.

    As it is, the time zone is tracked on a per-user basis. Meaning, each user can have a different time zone setting and their reminders would work based off of their particular time zone. Sugar does this by default.

    It would seem to me that it would far less complex to track one time zone (the user's) as opposed to always translating the time depending on which activity you are working with (or which contact/account), which also leaves it open to user error as it would require that the time zone be entered no matter what in order for it to be effective.

    Is there a particular problem you are encountering with the current model?
