    Default Setting up a Desktop as Shared Server

    i would set-up the following PC to host SugarCRM as shared server
    ================================================
    CPU : INTEL Q9550 Quad-Core2
    RAM : 4 GB CORSAIR DDR3(1600MHz) (2x2GB) DHX
    HD : RAID 1 - WESTERN DIGITAL WD3000HLFS 300GB SATA2 10KRPM 16MB
    OS : Windows Vista
    ================================================

    About the users
    n° 02 Light users 2 - 4 hours of sparodic use throughout the day
    users will connect from 2 pc over the LAN

    Sugar will be used predominantly for Newsletter
    1 newsletter per day (500 target/leads per day)

    May i have good performnce hosting Sugar on the above mentioned hardware ?

    Any help or suggestion would be appreciated

    thank you for your reply

    well what if i would host hMailserver too (using MySQL as DBMS) ???
    i would use just to share (setting hMail as IMAP) email over the LAN (again the previous 2 PCs)
    hMail will act as proxy downloading from my ISP pop3 server then my 2 PCs over the LAN will accces hMai as IMAP

    Do you think it will affect much on Sugar performance ???

    Hi Stefano

    Actually when some one configure a lots of services in the same server Sugar will be hosted the performance may be affected.
    We have configured two servers for SugarCRM stack, one for the Sugar it self and email server and another one dedicated for the database.
    Some customers use 3 servers, 1 for applications, one for databases and 1 for email server.
    if the volume of newsletter won´t increase so you may feel free for consider this strategy.
