Setting up Multiple Cost Centers

We just installed SugarCRM Open Source and need advice on how to setup Sugar to handle multiple cost centers. With offices in both the US and UK we have a different Sales force and cost center. I would like to separate there oppurtunities and projects from ours. How have other comapnies set up Sugar CRM to do this? I appreciate the Input!
