    Default Several problems Admin area

    Hi all,
I did a fresh install of 4.5.1e, no demo data. Environment is LAMP, MySQL 5.x, PHP 5.x The several problems I have are in the admin area. I thought I do run the diagnostic maybe that will tell me if anything is wrong. Doing so gave me the following error:
    Getting custom dir...
Error: PCLZIP_ERR_READ_OPEN_FAIL (-2) : Unable to open archive 'cache/diagnostic/32c40cc1-df9e-63e9-f582-46f399e26d9a/diagnostic20070921-121228/custom_directory.zip' in wb mode

System setting give me only SYSTEM SETTINGS: that's it no information at all.

Locale settings the same: SYSTEM LOCALE SETTINGS: (nothing more)

Module Loader the same: ADMINISTRATION: MODULE LOADER (There is a internet connection available so that would not be the problem, I guess.

Role Management: I cannot create a Role. It come up with just ROLES: nothingelse

I am running on a virtual server under Plesk 8.x which has for each virtual domain it's own session_save_path. I hacked checkSystem.php with overruling the $session_save_path = '/var/www/vhosts/yourdomain/httpdocs/tmp'; But of'course also not choosing the default settings later on by telling Sugar the save_path is a custom one. The install ended ok.

If there is somebody who did have the same problems, point me to some threads or any other suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks!
    Ed

Did you check permissions to the directories and such. I have seen the diagnostic thing when permissions/owners are not set right. The other still could be permission related but it's a stretch.

Because I am running as vhost under Plesk 8.x I have to check. I saw the Plesk and Vhost id's. I am gonna test if changing the owner will sole my problems.

I guess you don't mean the general permissions on dir's and files as mentioned when installed because these all gave OK.

    Thanks so far.

It gave the OK for all those that existed at install time. Check permissions again, it still a possibility and is easy to do.
