I've been reading all the horror stories about e-mail and SugarCRM, but I am exploring all options.

Without any plug-ins, I have SugarCRM reading e-mails quite nicely and linking them to contacts automatically. However, they do not also link to the account. Is this a) something I am doing wrong, b) a bug or c) a deliberate design decision?

Our salespeople work with newspapers (i.e. newspapers are our customers and prospects). They work with different departments within a single paper and thus with multiple contacts within the paper (we sell newspaper-specific software). I would like each of them to be able to bring up an account record and see a list of ALL the history with that account - all of the e-mails, calls, etc. to and from anyone at that account.

Things are working for calls - if the workflow is to bring up an account, select a contact from the list associated with that account, and then schedule or record the call.

How should it be working for incoming e-mails?
