Show primary contact in Accounts for export

Hi All,

I wondering how i could show a primary contact in an Accounts details so that when i do an export of an account it will show the contacts name, we need to do a mail merge outside of sugar.

No without programming, and this will take some time, because you should need to extend the following features:

view.list.php on Accounts
ListViewSmart for Accounts
export.php at the root of system
Account bean

Why wouldn't you just export the Contact instead, then you have the account name.

I just did something like this for a client but I just solved it by adding a relate (1 to many) field in Account. So we place the primary contact here and use the many to many field for secondary contacts. This is not as normalized but as long as people understand the convention it works fine and take 2 minutes to set up.
