Simple question: Tasks relate to contacts, why 2 relation (1 flex), 1 in subpane only

If you enter a new Task, you got a field contact that relates to a contact. You also have a flex relate with which you can relate to a contact, too. But for the second the task wont show up in the contacts subpanel.

So why is this the way it is, and is it possible to show the task in the subpanel if the contact is only linked by the flex relate field?
