Default Simplifying this for my needs

I need something very simple, and I can't seem to figure it out.

Leads are imported via the csv files. I've got this down. The lead gets converted to a potential. Then once we sell the potential, they become a customer.

The problem I'm having with this all is that the business names are more important than the customer names. We are at a car dealership, there are only a few of us, and all we want is a way to track our leads and potentials. We have no needs for forecasts, accounts, and other stuff that is important for repeat sales from company to company. Plus, when a lead gets "Converted" they still stay as a lead, meaning they will continue to get phone calls.

I'd also need a way for the sales manager to be able to see what part of the process a specific customer is at. Maybe a list of all of the "leads" or a list of "potentials" would be nice. Then when they click the lead or potential, they will see all of the notes input by the sales staff.

I've read how to use it for B2C but this for some reason still isn't making much sense to me.

Could someone help me figure out Sugar Community edition and how to implement it for a car dealership? I would be very grateful if you could!

    Thanks!

In order to don't display Converted Leads you can create a saved search where you can filter by non converted ones.
With respect to see what part of the process a specific customer is at you can add some Leads dashlets and adjust the filters accordingly. This same approach works for the requirement above.
You can add a dropdown field on Leads to track the "Lead Stage" and filter the Dashlets by this custom field.
