Default skipped records on data import

I've imported a couple thousand contacts into my installation and used the custom mappings. The team @ Sugar did a nice job with that, by the way!

One minor issue I had was that there were about 300 or so records that were skipped due to missing required info.

I've seen in other CRMs where that skipped/bad data can be viewed and either edited and saved/reloaded or discarded. Is there anything like that available within the system? If not, maybe a log file somewhere? I just don't want to guess about what fields might have had a problem.

Searching the forums just now showed me that some other folks have asked the same or similar questions, but I didn't see anything that looked like an answer. Sorry if I missed it in the forums and/or documentation.

Also, is there a list somewhere of the required fields for contacts and accounts?

The best general process to do this is to:

    1) Find out what fields are required for the module that you are importing into.
    2) Go into the CSV and make sure that those columns are filled out for all rows.
    3) Make sure those rows are mapped when importing into Sugar.

You're all set. The records should all be available after importing.

FYI: Required fields are marked with an asterisk in the import mapping field list. You can always see the required fields in the Quick Create or even the Create X (X=Account, Contact, etc.) screen as well.
