Hi all,
I'm assisting my team in identifying underlying causes for the SugarCRM install we have. We run heavy campaigns, which works flawlessly from imported leads, but we have a show stopper of a problem with the email client.
When loading the email, the client freezes for approximately 90 seconds.
Check mail = 60 - 90 seconds
Import into Sugar = 30 - 60 seconds
As I understand it, the Sugar email client reads our internal Outlook file and is set to read 2 folders...Inbox, and a custom folder. Combined, the total count is never more than 150 - 200 messages at most. Even in the initial setup, we have always had this unbearable lag. Our rep works much faster directly from Outlook, which of course, defeats the purpose of using Sugar as the CRM.
Our implementation is v5.5.0 on a Windows server 2003 box, with IIS 6, sql server 2005.
Can anyone begin making suggestions so that we can narrow down the problem?
I suspect, (without being the expert) that there is delay between sugar and our mail server. I'm not sure where the problem is.
I've read through some help and I see that Windows has a known slowness, perhaps changes to the email in 5.5.1 may help...can anyone shed more light on these?
Thanks for the help,
Kate
