slow saves from one client machine

I'm having a very strange problem. Saves of records from one client machine take almost 2 minutes. It happens from any user (mac os login user), any web browser app (safari, firefox, etc), and web connection. The same operation works fine from any other machine with the same sugar user, web browsers, connections, etc.

I've tried logging slow queries (nothing takes longer than .01sec), and the page response time on the bottom of the page reads 120seconds.

I'm pulling out my hair trying to solve this - usually I'd just tell the user to re-image their machine or upgrade to a new laptop, but it's my machine

Any suggestions on where to look next?
