slowness in SugarCRM

HI,

I've installed sugarcrm CE 451 on an UBUNTU server 8.10 LAMP Server (XEON 3220 + 2 Go RAM)

I've added to the SpiceHire Module.

Everything works great and fast after installation.

Two users are using the soft, but after one day of use, (10 contacts created, no email management) the soft becomes very slow...

We solved this problem by turning of the update check.

But now again, we have display slowness when using the CRM...the access to folder will be fast at a time, and to an other, it will then be very slow, or the folder content won't be displayed (white screen)

I tried with Firefox, but it is worse, the browser tries to load the login page but never shows the page...

Could someone help?

Try restarting apache and see if that speeds it up

If it does you may need to change your apache settings

Do you have other services using apache, maybe you need to increase you php memory, etc.

Hi,

Apache restarting, as well as the server doesn't change anything.

I've applied the PHP and Apache configurations recommended on wiki web site - Platform requirements and doesn't change anything.

It is strange, that the displayed server time responses on pages <0,3 s....But For example Mozilla cannot display any pages from the CRM.

With IE6, reloading 3 times the same page shows 1s, 1s, and several minutes for displaying...

Could it be a network problem?! I've activated the slow queries logging, that did not shows any requests in sugarcrm.log

I've configured the soft, with FQDN, but the name resolving uses /etc/hosts not DNS for the server name record. Same configuration for the PC's. Could it be a reason ?
