SMTP address

Hi guys,

I have an SMTP server address written on the email configuration but I'd like to be sure if that address is the rigth one, so, How do I know if the specified SMTP server address is the correct one?, where can I check that?

You can always use telnet to manually connect to the SMTP server and verify connectivity.

I wrote telnet mail.domain.ext 25 and got this error message "conectandose a mail.domain.ext...No se puede abrir una conexion al host en puerto 25 : Error en la conexión"

How do I solve this problem, what do I have to do?

Well, the error message is indicating that it can't connect to port 25 on the server address you specified.

So, either there is no SMTP server running at that address, the address is incorrect, or something else is getting in the way (for example, firewall rules, etc.). I couldn't tell you which of the three it is.

And if I tell you that only one user is able to send mails, what would you think the issue could possibly be?
