smtp gmail setting in 5.0

hey guys can u plz tell me the configuration needed for the email settings for gmail account. i have tried various fileds like imap.googlemail.com or imap.gmail.com.....attachd image with thread....plz help me out on this.

You or your system administrator need to add the IMAP module for your PHP installation. You will need to compile IMAP support into PHP.

can i have settings for POP3 module.......i have a shared web hosting so is it possible to add imap module???
i think i cant add module ....my web hosting is (Godaddy).......plz send me settings for imap( if possible on gdaddy) or POP3 settings.

You need to enable the IMAP PHP extension regardless of whether you intend to use IMAP or POP3. You should contact GoDaddy support for further assistance and you should also take note that a number of users have reported that GoDaddy does not allow the use of the IMAP extension for certain accounts. If yours happens to be one, you will need a different account or hosting provider.

i m backing off from inbound settings..bt can u tell me procedure for outboud settings using SMTP protocol....coz even outbound is not working and it gives error as::

what should i do to get my outbound mail system working..and also the same settings i have used in (lcalhost of my PC) and it is working perfectly fine...then why is it creating error at webserver???

Are you sure the SMTP ports (25/465) are open on the server hosting your account?

I would advise you to contact your host so that they can review the mail logs and provide you with the exact error message, as well as with a possible solution to the issue.
